These rings appear to be continuous but are opened and closed by twisting the ends sideways, carefully. Most commonly worn in the nose and ear.
The gold colour is plated using the PVD process.
Zircon Steel and Zircon Titanium body jewellery are steel or titanium products coated in a Zircon compound using a Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process to give a gold colour. The high tech PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process is a where a coating is deposited onto the jewellery by vaporising Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) by passing a high voltage current through the Zirconium compound emitter in a hot and high pressure kiln. The PVD coating is only a few microns thick but due to the way in which the molecules bond to the surface of the product it is very difficult to remove. Therefore the PVD coating process produces a product that is hard wearing and scratch resistant.
